A great way to get to know people!
Newcomers offers a variety of activities for singles and couples. No matter what your interest, you are sure to find something that you will enjoy! You can join any activity throughout the year, all you need to do is contact the Activity Coordinator and request to be put on the contact list. If there is an activity you don't see, but would like to start, we would love to hear from you! Most activities meet once a month and meet in members' homes, in a restaurant or in another designated place. Activities offered are subject to change, based on interest and participation.
Some of the Activities offered this year:
Saturdays at Seven - A Saturday evening party for singles or couples
4 Book Clubs - Both in-person and zoom, both daytime and evening
Lunch Bunch - A themed potluck for lunch
Lunch Cruisers - Lunch at an area restaurant
Golf - May through September or October
Euchre - One Friday evening per month for couples or 2 singles
Bunco - A dice game that is fun & easy to learn
Dinner Group - Saturday evening, a themed potluck for singles or couples
Bridge - 2 groups, a Monday and a Wednesday group
Mom's Meetup - Lunch group for Moms with young school-age children
Intermission - Happy Hour in various restaurants for singles or couples
Coffee Club - Fridays, 2 meetings via zoom, 1 in-person meeting
Wednesday Crafters - Wednesday morning, meets at a restaurant
Mah Jongg - Meets 2 Fridays per month, daytime
Hand and Foot Card Game - Tuesday during the day

A couple of our members went to Exodus Place for a presentation and lunch hosted by the President and Community Outreach Coordinator. We also were given a tour of the facility. They do amazing work! See our Philanthropy page for details and a link to their website.

Lunch Bunch!
Each month one of our members hosts Lunch Bunch in his or her home. Everyone brings a dish according to the theme for that month. There's always plenty of food, good conversation and laughter!
We have a Monday and a Wednesday Bridge Group - Come play and Stay for lunch!

A casual party held in a member's home, guests bring an appetizer or dessert and their own beverage - and just have fun catching up with their Newcomer friends!

This group started with Moms that had young children, but they kept going after the kids were old enough to go to school! All are welome to join them!

Our Mah Jongg group meets the second and fourth Friday of the month. If you don't know how to play or need a refresher, we'll teach you!
